Athletic Program
Within Goodland’s setting of training and discipline, Goodland’s staff provides appropriate recreational outlets for all of our students.  Currently, Goodland has an extracurricular basketball competition and hopes to soon become involved in a local home school sports league for basketball, volleyball and baseball.  Furthermore, the Goodland campus has its own swimming pool, which is in use from May through October.  We also have a large pond on our grounds, which is available for boating and fishing.  We also have a well-equipped weight room on campus that is supervised by one of our residential educators.  Nearby we also have Hugo Lake State Park with it many hiking trails, beaches and swimming areas, as well as excellent fishing.  Our students also participate in an annual fishing tournament in Northeast Texas, as well as a canoeing trip every Labor Day weekend.
